Guardiões da Amazônia

In the first month of Op Verde Brasil 2, the 17th Jungle Infantry Brigade (17th Bda Inf Sl) launched the Guardiões da Amazônia platform, which has as main objective the protection of the Amazon region with respect to environmental crimes. It is an application that allows the population to report the most common and harmful offenses to the environment practiced in the region, providing the control and inspection agencies with a valuable tool so that they can act more efficiently to determine and prosecute those responsible for the fires, in addition to providing easy access to hot spots in real time across the territory of the legal Amazon.
The Guardians of the Amazon platform has as main objective the protection of the Amazon region with respect to environmental illicit acts. Providing a tool for the population to make complaints about the most common and harmful damages to the environment that are practiced in this region.
The Guardians of the Amazon platform consists of the following parts:
Mobile App
The main purpose of the mobile application is to send complaints safely and accurately. The user can make a report anonymously or even choose to register, both ways their data will not be exposed, however if they register they can enjoy the gamification part of the application. Receive Virtual Medals and have a position in the general ranking or your state.
When we talk about the accuracy of the complaint, it means that along with the photos and the observation, the geographical location of the complaint location is also sent, which greatly facilitates the life of the bodies that will receive these complaints.
Through the application it is also possible to view the Heat Focuses information generated by satellites. This is a feature that can be very useful for agencies such as firefighters.
Web Module
The web platform is for restricted use by partner agencies. In it the most diverse bodies can have access to the contents as the denunciations made by the users, in addition to the hot spots received via satellite and can also view the deforestation alerts from DETER (INPE), there are also several types of reports and graphs available.
With the system, it is possible to identify the exact location of the fire outbreak from a photo sent by the whistleblower. Records also allow control and inspection bodies to access geographic coordinates.
The application also has the option of recording the proportions of the environmental crime itself, in addition to a field for describing observations. The mobile format of the app is used to send complaints, while the web format is restricted to partner supervisory bodies.
The photo will be used as evidence against those responsible for the crime, since the database will be able to record the exact location of the burn with latitude, longitude and the size of the affected area.
