Improvement and resource management are often impaired by decisions made with compassion and good will. PUT YOUR OWN LAWS
Establish laws that will regulate the existence of your developing society. Organize daily working hours, health insurances, quantities of supplies distributed and other vital aspects of daily life. Give them hope and please them - Keeping the morale of your people high is as important as it is to provide the most basic needs, such as keeping your people fed and protecting them.
SHAPE YOUR COMMUNITY
If you reach a turning point, never hesitate to determine the path your people will take. Will you rule your people with an iron fist or by showing them mercy and instilling faith? If you want to travel to the extreme, try to find a balance between them, but keep in mind that there is no turning back.
MEASURE AND WEIGHT YOUR OPTIONS
Some of the decisions you make will seem unimportant to you - like ruling the fate of a stuck city dweller or dealing with the demands of a newborn faction. However, the little things you do can have unexpected results when they come together. Your people believe and trust you, but of course there is a limit to their loyalty. Leadership can be a burden on your shoulders.
